Wangjun Hu is a PhD student in Britta Velten’s lab at Heidelberg University, where he develops statistical methods for spatial multi-omics data. His research focuses on interpretable statistical models that help generate biological insights, with a particular interest in applied scenarios, such as using statistical modeling to for instance understand how different biological contexts (e.g. diseases) can be explained by spatial variation.
