The User Group Initiative

VIB Training & Conferences - Mock Training

Science is constantly evolving, and the portfolio of the VIB Training & Conference unit must adapt to stay relevant in a changing ecosystem. The user group gathers the voices of VIB's internal community directly into the heart of program development.

The group acts as a sounding board for potential participants, reflecting the needs, challenges, and aspirations of the diverse life sciences community, and ensuring that the training and conference offerings remain relevant, impactful, and forward-thinking.

The responsibilities of the user group are:

  • To provide actionable feedback and engage constructively in discussions;
  • To act as a voice for the VIB colleagues by gathering feedback, ideas and suggestions for improvements;
  • To promote activities and surveys of the VIB training & conferences program into their network;
  • To act in an advisory role.

The user group aims to reflect the diversity of the VIB life sciences community, encompassing a range of roles such as PhD researchers, postdocs, group leaders, technicians, and support staff from various VIB locations.
