Susanne
Wedlich
Susanne was born in Munich and studied biology and political science. She lived in Boston for a few years and spent one year in Singapore. As a freelance science writer, She mainly writes for national publications such as Der Spiegel, FAZ, GEO, Spektrum der Wissenschaft, PM and National Geographic, as well as occasionally contributing to international magazines like BBC Science Focus and, most recently, New Scientist.
Her book Slime: A Natural History, was published in Germany in 2019 and has since been translated and published in the UK, the US, Italy, and Russia. She often give talks on this topic for both lay audiences and experts. She is currently curating an exhibition about slime(s) for the Museum of Medical History at the Charité in Berlin, which is due to open on 30 October and runs for eleven months.
