Svenningsen
Dr. Sarah Svenningsen is a Canada Research Chair in Translational Pulmonary Imaging and an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Division of Respirology) at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. She is also an Affiliate Scientist of the Firestone Institute for Respiratory Health and The Research Institute of St. Joe’s Hamilton. Her research focuses on developing and applying advanced pulmonary imaging methods to improve the understanding, evaluation, and management of complex airways disease. She has published more than 85 peer-reviewed manuscripts, with her work cited over 3950 times (h-index=34), and serves as principal investigator on multiple federally funded and industry-partnered studies. Dr. Svenningsen was a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow and is the recipient of the 2024 Ann Woolcock Memorial Award and the 2017 Charles Polanyi Prize in Physiology/Medicine.
