Noa
Lipstein
Noa is a Junior Group Leader at the Leibniz Institute for Molecular Pharmacology (FMP) in Berlin. Her research program aims to define the molecular logic underlying the diversity of presynaptic function and plasticity. By integrating electrophysiological recordings in mouse and human iPSC-derived neurons with proximity-based proteomics and super-resolution imaging, her group investigates how disruptions of presynaptic function contribute to neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders, including a newly identified UNC13A-associated neurodevelopmental disorder and the role of UNC13A as a risk gene in ALS/FTD. Noa is a member of the NeuroCure Cluster of Excellence, participates in several synapse-focused research consortia, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Einstein Center for Neurosciences Berlin.
