Nicolas is a chief technology officer and a co-founder of Phytoform Labs, a TechBio company innovating in the space of biotechnology, seed genetics and agriculture. Motivated by the mission of making agriculture more sustainable, Nicolas leads a team of data scientists, molecular biologists, plant scientists and agronomists to develop novel high impact crop traits. Most recently the team has launched a DNA discovery platform CRE.AI.TIVETM, offering a unique scalable method of optimising expression of native crop alleles, with a particular focus on CRISPR precision breeding. The technology has been recognised by the Manchester Prize, a UK Government’s initiative for breakthrough-AI technologies as well as AWS Compute for Climate Fellowship.
