Maria Mirza is a scientific project manager at Euro-BioImaging ERIC, the European research infrastructure for biological and biomedical imaging. Her work focuses on community-driven initiatives in data standardisation, interoperability and AI for scientific discovery, supporting collaboration across research infrastructures and the wider imaging community.

Together with Euro-BioImaging, she contributes to the SCIANCE project (https://www.sciance.eu/), a Horizon Europe initiative supporting the development of the Resource for AI Science in Europe (RAISE). SCIANCE brings together stakeholders across scientific domains, AI research centres, and digital infrastructures to define strategic research priorities, improve data and computing capabilities, and foster cross-disciplinary collaboration for a consolidated European AI-in-science ecosystem. As coordinator of the Life Sciences within SCIANCE, Euro-BioImaging ensures that the community’s strategic priorities and research requirements are comprehensively represented in the development of the European AI-in-science agenda.
