Director of the metabolomics and cell biology platforms at Gustave Roussy and of the Inserm “Metabolism, cancer and immunity” team, Professor Guido Kroemer is also a professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Paris-Descartes University, assistant professor at the Karolinska Institute, honorary professor at the Suzhou Center of Systems Medicine, deputy director of the Cordeliers Research Center and practitioner at the Georges-Pompidou European Hospital.

Guido Kroemer has made extensive contributions to research in the field of cell biology and cancer research, including studying the mechanisms of mitochondrial control in cell death, the anti-aging role of autophagy, and immune responses that ensure the success of anticancer treatments.

Guido Kroemer's work has been recognized by prestigious scientific awards. Author of more than 1,150 publications, including 36 in Cell, Science and Nature, Guido Kroemer is part of various editorial boards and is editor-in-chief of Cell Stress, OncoImmunology, Microbial Cell, and Molecular & Cellular Oncology. Prof. Kroemer is a member of numerous scientific and academic bodies (EMBO, Leopoldina, EAS, EASA, EACS, IUF) and heads several research groups (Labex "Immuno-oncology", ERI-ICP, EATI).
