Ajit Shetty is an MA/PhD from Trinity College, Cambridge University (UK) and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University (USA).

In his career at Janssen/Johnson & Johnson, he served as Chairman of Janssen Pharmaceutica Beerse (Belgium) and Global Head of the Supply Chain and Member of the Operating Committee of Johnson & Johnson in the USA.

He currently sits on the Board of the Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp (Belgium), Soudal (Belgium) and Actinium Pharma, New York (USA), and is Chairman of the Board of VIB, Ghent (Belgium).

In addition he is an advisor to bioscience and technology companies in Europe, USA and Asia.
