Jessica
Osterhout
Jessica Osterhout is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurobiology at the University of Utah. She received her Ph.D. at the University of California, San Diego under Dr. Andrew Huberman. She completed her postdoctoral training with Dr. Catherine Dulac at Harvard University, where she discovered the neural mechanisms underlying fever generation, before joining the University of Utah in 2022. She has been recognized with several awards, including the Pew Biomedical Scholars Award, the Klingenstein-Simons Fellowship in Neuroscience, the Brain Behavior Research Foundation Young Investigator Award, and the Whitehall Foundation Research Grant. Her work is focused on understanding immune-brain communication and addressing how the immune system shapes behavior and physiology.
