Avery Digital, US

Ryan has extensive experience in technology development. With academic degrees from UVA and MIT in physics, mathematics, and engineering as well as industry experience in government, energy, SaaS, and life sciences, Ryan’s expertise spans analytics, AI, software, semiconductors, and biotechnology. He has deployed machine learning models for the Department of Defense, brought to market observability and security products for software applications, and is developing high-throughput experimental solutions for biological engineering.
As CEO and cofounder of Avery, Ryan is automating the Design Build Test Learn workflows using scalable semiconductor chip technology, which provides high-throughput, programmable, genetic experimentation. Avery solves AI-assisted biological experimentation and data generation through the transformative power of scalable semiconductor chips to improve the overall economics of bioengineering by a factor of one million. Avery’s paradigm-shifting platform enables low-cost, high-throughput experimentation, and digitizes the synthetic biology workflow from gene synthesis through cell and cell-free functional testing. This unlocks high-throughput programmable bioengineering workflows and massive experimental data generation.
