Wenjun Zhang is the Charles R. Wilke Endowed Chair and Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and the Department of Chemistry at the University of California Berkeley. She pursued her doctoral studies under Yi Tang at UCLA and completed her postdoctoral training with Christopher T. Walsh at Harvard Medical School before joining UC Berkeley in 2011. She has been recognized with awards including the Pew Scholar, NIH Director’s New Innovator, Sloan Research Fellow, and Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, among others. The Zhang Lab is broadly interested in natural product discovery, biosynthesis, engineering, and biological studies.
